Our journey began 20 years ago – a young couple in their 30s and their curious 3-year-old son embracing their wanderlust! History, traditions, culture, art, landscapes, regional cuisine; we sought a different holiday experience beyond ticking off the main sights. Avoiding typical tours and crowds, we discovered that exploring at our style and pace led to an overall richer understanding of people and places.
 
Armed with a lot of research and a bit of hesitation, we started venturing into smaller, unknown towns and villages. We discovered the joy of the local connect and the experience of touching the essence and core of a place, devoid of crowds and tourist shops. For every famous tourist site where every tourist bus went, there was an equally fascinating site where only a few did. The transition from regular tourists to experiential travelers happened as we cherished the simplest and biggest joys in less explored places.

No surprise, many DIY experiences costed less or were entirely free compared to mainstream destinations. Our passion, in-depth research, and a dash of adventure transformed these moments into dream-like experiences, etching the strongest memories that turned us into storytellers!
